Privacy Policy

What 55GMS collects, why, and the choices you have. Last updated 14 October 2026.

The short version

  • You can play games and use apps without an account. Your settings and game progress stay in your browser.
  • If you make an account, we keep your handle, a scrambled copy of your password, your chats and any save you upload.
  • Google shows ads and measures traffic on this site, and uses cookies to do it. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google asks for your consent first.
  • We do not sell your personal information.

On your device

Your theme, tab disguise, panic key, ad settings and game progress are kept in your browser's storage. They are not sent to us unless you upload a cloud save.

Accounts

An account is optional. It holds your handle, your old username if you had one, your password stored only as a one-way hash, a random account ID, the avatar you pick and whether you have Premium.

Cloud saves

When you upload a save, we store a copy of your browser storage for this site so you can restore it later. Storage from sites opened through the browser tab is left out.

Chat

We store the messages you send, the chats you are in, your friends, the people you block, and when you were last online. Messages are seen by the members of the chat they are sent in.

Premium payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription IDs and the subscription's status, so we know when Premium is active.

Ads

Ads keep 55GMS free. Three kinds may appear:

Google AdSense
Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalized ads in Google's Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services. Other ad companies can be opted out of at aboutads.info.
55GMS Ads
Served from our own server. We count views and clicks as totals. No cookies are set, and nothing follows you between days or other sites.
Partner banners
A script from an advertising partner on some pages. It may use cookies under that partner's own policy.

Premium accounts see no ads unless they turn them back on in Settings, where each kind can be switched on or off.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent by Google's certified consent message before personalized ads are shown.

Analytics

Google Analytics tells us which pages and games are used, along with your browser, device type and rough location. It uses cookies.

Other services

Game files and scripts load from jsDelivr, and icons and fonts from Font Awesome and Google Fonts. These services see your IP address when your browser fetches from them.

Browser tab

Sites you open in the browser tab are fetched through our server. We do not keep a record of the sites you visit. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Security

Your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit abuse, such as too many login attempts. Our hosting keeps standard server logs.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep account data, saves and chats for as long as your account exists. To see, correct or delete your data, or to close your account, ask us on Discord. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to how we use your data or to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

55GMS is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child under 13 has made an account, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Questions go to our Discord.
